The Day After

It’s over – the shopping, the celebration, the “bad” food you eat one time per year that is so good. And now it begins; we take back some of those gifts to the store for the great exchange as well as start the new diet. (Eggnog is my nemesis!)

However, it’s not really over, because Christmas is only the beginning. It's the gift you never exchange, for it is the eternal gift of eternal life with God.

We need Christmas and Easter, and also the Ascension. That is the divine trifecta. It’s all a gift that results in eternity with the great I Am (Exodus 3), the Lord (Psalm 90), the Creator of the universe (Colossians 1), John 1; Job 38), the sustainer of the universe (Hebrews 1), the Messiah, the Anointed One, (Matthew 1:16), who is the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9) – Jesus the Christ! He offers the gift of eternal life.

Enjoy the last days of your Christmas tree. Do your shopping and the exchanging. However, remember, the gift of eternal life is yours for the asking, and if you already know Him, tell someone else about Him. Do it before the end of the year. Count the days and make the days count!

Serving Him with you
Until He comes for us,
