Access Denied!

The recent election and my exposure to the political system have reminded me that I do not really have much access to the porticos of political power. Maybe that is a good thing!

I do not have access to the Texas State House, Governor Abbott, Congress, the Senate, any court, let alone the Supreme Court or the West Wing. The porticos of power are all denied to me. But I do have access to the throne of God.

The Apostle Paul reminds us that we actually have access to the Ruler, Emperor, King and Creator of the universe.

Ephesians 2:17-18; And He came and preached peace to you who were far away, and peace to those who were near; for through Him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father.

Ephesians 3:11-12; This was in accordance with the eternal purpose which He carried out in Christ Jesus our Lord in whom we have boldness and confident access through faith in Him.

Romans 5:1-2; Therefore having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have obtained our access by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God.

Access is the ability to enter, approach, or pass to and from a place or to approach or communicate with a person.

We may not have access to the president or the Supreme Court, but we do have access to Jesus and the Throne of Grace where we can find mercy and grace at any time.

Hebrews 4:14-16; Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. Le us therefore draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace to help in time of need.

If you need mercy or grace it is there for you and most importantly, it is there in “the nick of time.”

Serving Him with you

Until He comes for us.
