As we find ourselves living more and more in an Orwellian world of word games, we are experiencing what Orwell called the “smelly little orthodoxies” that are contending for and crushing our souls. The new regulations of the new regime of "Wokeness" stink to high heaven.
The insidious aspect of all of this is that "Wokeness" philosophy seeks to deceive Christians into believing that "Wokeness" ideology is from Biblical theology. The twisting of scripture and the distorting of biblical truth has all the hallmarks of demonic deception. You recall that the devil was a liar from the beginning and that he is the father of lies. You also remember that the whole world lies in the lap of the evil one!
The autonomy that demands abortion on demand, the declaration of gay "Pride," the decision to transform into a transgender entity and demand we confirm their identity or suffer their wrath, these and many more are not only smelly little orthodoxies, but they are also direct acts of rebellion against God and attacks against the Church of Jesus Christ.
The apostle Paul was right as he declared that we wrestle not against flesh and blood….
“Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, that you may be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.” Ephesians 6:10-13
We are living in a day when this might not be the last word, but it certainly is a central moment for the church and for our culture.
How shall we then live?
