- Deception is the ability to misdirect a person.
- Deceiving normally involves the covering up of truth from a person.
- Deceit seeks to manipulate a person.
- Dishonesty seeks to lie to a person.
- Distortion seeks to confuse a person.
- Duplicity seeks to trick a person.
Unfortunately, not only do people attempt to enact these evils upon other people, but at times we actually perpetrate them upon ourselves.
What is a person to do? Desire divine directions.
How do we find directions that are true and right?
- King David pronounces: “How can a young man keep his way pure? By keeping it according to Thy word. With all my heart I have sought Thee; Do not let me wander from Thy commandments. Thy Word I have treasured in my heart, that I may not sin against Thee.” Psalm 119: 9-11
- The Apostle Paul promises that: “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness...” 2 Timothy 3:16
- Jesus proclaims: “Thy Word is truth.” John 17:17
Where are you getting your directions?
