The Lord sees, and the Lord loves. He sees the devastating stain of sin imprinted upon each of us who are made in the image of God. Our creator, seeing His image and likeness in His creatures, is moved with compassion. He is moved by what He is - Love.
The Apostle John declares that God is Love. (I John 4:7-8) The declaration of this determinative truth and unchanging reality results in God expressing His essence through His existence and extending His love to mankind. We call it Christmas
“God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
